You'll be supporting major defense programs, diving into data, solving problems, and helping ensure our projects run with precision.

This role is on-site in our Clackamas, OR facility and is perfect for someone who loves structure but isn't afraid of fast-moving, dynamic work. You'll collaborate with program managers, finance teams, engineers, and leadership-contributing directly to the success of high-visibility projects across the company.

Responsibilities:

Financial & Billing Operations

  • Manage Accounts Receivable billing, supporting milestone-based invoicing with accuracy and speed.
  • Maintain and update milestone tracking spreadsheets to align with contract deliverables.
  • Monitor and report on Aging AP & AR to keep financial health visible and on track.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Maintain high-quality scorecard data for project and organizational performance.
  • Run and validate labor hours reports, troubleshooting discrepancies as needed.
  • Produce ad hoc reports for Project Managers and leadership-turning raw data into useful insights.
  • Support ongoing enhancements to financial reporting, dashboards, and project metrics.

Systems, Coding & Data Management

  • Perform WEBCON - an accounting system interface - entry for contracts, contract mods, personnel change forms, and related workflows.
  • Update project codes and manage the Crosswalk to ensure accuracy across all accounting and reporting systems.
  • Assist with job cost tracking and data validation to ensure correct financial alignment at every stage.

Project Controls Support

  • Contribute to Project Controls reporting, including cost, schedule, and progress metrics.
  • Respond to Accounts Payable inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen internal processes, controls, and project visibility.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in project controls, project accounting, government contracting, or similar roles.
  • Strong familiarity with accounting systems, job cost structures, and financial data workflows.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivots, VLOOKUPs/INDEX-MATCH, visual reporting).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.

Preferred:

  • Accounting degree or experience with job costing in a project-based environment.
  • Experience with WEBCON, Deltek Costpoint, or other project accounting platforms.
  • Familiarity with defense contracting, maritime projects, or manufacturing environments.
  • Experience interpreting contract requirements, funding mods, and milestone schedules.
  • Understanding of project schedules, including the ability to interpret and reconcile Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) with financial baselines, import and translate schedule outputs into Excel for EAC/ETC development.

You're a great fit if you...

  • Enjoy fast-paced, team-centered environments.
  • Have a knack for digging into data, spotting issues, and solving problems before they become problems.
  • Communicate clearly-whether it's breaking down financials or explaining system updates.
  • Can work independently but love being part of a collaborative team.
