Job Summary
The Business Office Generalist supports the operations of the business office by collaborating with multiple departments and assisting with accounts, payment processing, and general administrative functions. This role ensures accurate and timely handling of business office tasks while providing backup support as needed.










Essential Functions

Review and resolve problem accounts while monitoring Work queue volumes to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.

Process incoming check correspondence, Explanation of Benefits (EOBs), zero-pay documents, and checks for Remote Deposit Capture in an accurate and efficient manner.

Provide backup support to the Accounts Receivable Department as needed.

Respond to EOB requests and other inquiries from internal departments in a timely and professional manner.

Perform general administrative duties such as scanning, document management, and mail distribution to support daily business office operations.

Education Qualifications



  • High School Diploma and/or GED - required
  • Associate's Degree in business, accounting, healthcare administration, or a related field - preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities







Working knowledge of medical billing practices, policies, and procedures.



Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.



Strong computer and 10-key skills with attention to accuracy and efficiency.



Ability to work effectively and collaboratively within a team environment



Commitment to maintaining open and professional communication across departments.
