Overview

Join a dynamic finance team where your expertise will make a measurable impact. Reporting to the Senior Director - Tax/Finance & Corporate Controller, this role is a key contributor to the company's accounting and reporting functions, including internal and external financial reporting, treasury operations, and corporate insurance management. You'll play an integral part in driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement across critical financial processes.

KVH is currently using a hybrid work schedule with 4 days onsite and 1-day remote.



Responsibilities

Lead critical expense oversight by analyzing and managing operating expenses and related accruals, ensuring accuracy across key ledger accounts that drive financial performance.

Support SEC reporting excellence by assisting in the preparation and timely submission of quarterly and annual filings, contributing to compliance and transparency for stakeholders.

Own the month-end close process through detailed GL analysis, preparation of journal entries, and reconciliation of complex accounts to maintain integrity in financial statements.

Partner in audits and compliance by collaborating with internal and external auditors, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and ensuring adherence to SOX controls and US GAAP standards.

Manage corporate insurance programs end-to-end, including policy renewals, claims coordination, and risk mitigation strategies.

Enhance global treasury operations by preparing accurate cash forecasts, serving as CashPro administrator, and maintaining banking documentation to support compliance and risk management.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives by participating in operational and accounting projects that streamline processes, improve efficiency, and strengthen internal controls.

Champion cross-functional communication by facilitating effective collaboration between finance and other departments, ensuring clarity in priorities, expectations, and deliverables.

Provide strategic support to finance leadership, contributing insights and recommendations for decision-making and special projects.



Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of accounting experience (or 3 years with CPA/Master's).
  • Epicor Kinetic ERP experience a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and compliance standards.
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
  • Proven track record in process improvement and problem-solving.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
