Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary

Join Acentra Health as a PASRR Evaluator in Nebraska. In this role, you will conduct PASRR Level II Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review assessments in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, and the surrounding areas, make level-of-care recommendations, and help ensure the delivery of quality care that meets industry standards and complies with applicable government regulations.This PRN hybrid position offers the flexibility to work remotely from your home office while also traveling locally within the community to complete assessments. Travel-related expenses, including mileage and parking, are reimbursed. Acentra Health also provides the essential technology and equipment needed for both remote and field-based work, including a company-issued laptop.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete accurate PASRR screenings, evaluations, and determinations through clinical assessment of the individual, review of relevant records, and input from collateral sources.

  • Determine the appropriate level of care by assessing the individual's physical, behavioral, and psychological functioning to support accurate PASRR review completion.

  • Ensure compliance with established workflows, including re-reviewing records based on input from the psychiatrist.

  • Identify and document clinical diagnoses, taking psychological and behavioral factors into consideration..

  • Develop level-of-care recommendations based on clinical evaluations and assessment findings.

  • Assess and analyze the individual's psychological, emotional, behavioral, and physical functioning to support sound clinical determinations.

  • Utilize computer equipment and web-based systems to perform job duties efficiently and accurately.

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, families, and internal partners as needed

  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Active, unrestricted Nebraska licensure in a healthcare or related field, such as LCSW, LMFT, Nurse Practitioner, or Psychologist.

  • Graduation from an accredited college with a relevant degree program and a minimum of 3 years of experience assessing and/or diagnosing individuals with mental or psychiatric disorders, including complex differential diagnoses involving substance use, medical conditions, cognitive impairment, and dementia.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or related conditions.

  • Proficiency in abstracting and reviewing medical records.
  • Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with individuals and groups across spoken, written, and electronic formats.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Federal Regulation 42 CFR Part 483.
  • Strong understanding of psychiatric disorders as defined by the current Diagnostic and Statistical Manual recognized by the applicable state.
  • Knowledge of professional standards related to level-of-care determinations.
  • Familiarity with standards of practice in mental health, intellectual and developmental disabilities, geriatrics, and other conditions commonly associated with long-term care services and supports.
  • Solid understanding of medical record structure, medical terminology, and disease processes.
  • Experience working with the geriatric population preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities and complete work accurately within established deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, as well as experience using other web-based tools and platform

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $39.00 to $41.00 per hour

Based on our compensation program, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
