Summary:
The AVP Physician Practices will oversee the strategic leadership and operations of the Physician Practices affiliated with UNC Rex Healthcare. This position works closely with hospital leadership to set the strategic direction of the Rex physician practices, establishes annual performance goals and priorities, and monitors and manages results of individual practices and service lines.

Responsibilities:
1. Physician Practice Leadership- this role will establish and monitor goals and metrics to ensure alignment of the Rex physician practices with the UNC Health Care System and to ensure optimal and consistent patient experience in all UNC Rex physician practices. The position will have direct line responsibility, including responsibility for patient satisfaction, employee satisfaction, patient safety, and financial performance for a large group of practices. The position provides direct support and management to a number of hospital directors and managers in ensuring optimal operation of their practices.

* Requires Bachelor's degree. Master's degree strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Requires 10 years of progressively responsible experience and 7 years of management experience.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Ability to communicate ideas and solutions in a clear, concise manner. Identifies problem areas and skill gaps proactively and addresses them appropriately. Excellent project management and change management skills for designing and implementing high priority department initiatives in a complex environment.
