Dental Assistant

MaineHealth - Brunswick, Maine

MaineHealth is seeking a compassionate and dependable Dental Assistant to join our dental care team in Brunswick, Maine. This role supports dentists in all aspects of dental care delivery while helping ensure a positive, respectful experience for every patient we serve.

Position Summary

The Dental Assistant role is responsible for assisting dentists with a range of dental assistant duties in all aspects of dental care delivery.

This position works closely with staff and volunteer dentists in a collaborative, mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate is positive, caring, flexible, well-organized, and willing to pitch in wherever help is needed.

Schedule & Location
  • Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. (32 hours per week)

  • Location: 331 Maine Street, Suite 4, Brunswick, Maine
About the Clinic

We are a free medical and dental clinic serving uninsured adults with low incomes who live in Midcoast Maine. Our small team works closely with medical and dental volunteers to provide care rooted in compassion, respect, dignity, and quality. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact in the community.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Dental Radiographer or obtained within one year of employment required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.

Experience: One year of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred.
