Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Videographer to operate video cameras and sound equipment and produce video content for Stennis Space Center. This is a full-time position.



Responsibilities

    Capture high-quality video content, edit footage, and produce professional video products that support internal and external communications, training, outreach, and documentation efforts.
  • Operate professional video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment to record interviews, events, training sessions, and promotional content.
  • Scout and prepare locations for optimal video production.
  • Ensure proper framing, lighting, and sound quality during shoots.
  • Edit raw footage into polished video products using Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Incorporate motion graphics, titles, music, voiceovers, and other post-production elements as needed.
  • Maintain consistent branding and visual style across all video content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and deliverables.
  • Manage video production timelines and ensure on-time delivery of final products.
  • Archive and organize video assets for future use.
  • Review and revise video content based on feedback.
  • Ensure all video products meet technical specifications and organizational standards.


Qualifications

15+ years experience supporting video and sound systems. Bachelor's degree in a related field. Proven experience as a videographer, cinematographer, or similar role. Proficient in video editing software and post-production workflows. Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and audio techniques. Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Must have strong communication and collaboration skills. Able to physically lift and/or carry 50lbs. of equipment to work locations. Experience working in a government, aerospace, or technical environment desired. Familiarity with motion graphics and animation tools (e.g., After Effects) preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, and Box. Must be a US citizen.
