Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.


Position Summary

This is a paid Summer Engineering Internship Program (early June to early August).


Duties And Responsibilities

As an intern with our Offshore Projects Group (OPG) Control Systems team, you'll work with our existing operational engineering team to provide project and maintenance support for existing equipment. You will be responsible for supporting a global operations team and daily engineering tasks. Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You'll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Upcoming 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics Systems Engineering Technology (ESET) or a related engineering discipline.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • No relocation or housing assistance is being offered.

DESIRED:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
  • Experience with Programming Languages such as LabVIEW, Python, Micro Python, C, or C++.
  • Experience with Prototyping, Soldering, Power Electronics, PCB development, BLDC and Stepper Motors.
  • Ability to analyze and solve engineering problems, think critically, and troubleshoot issues effectively.
  • Experience creating block diagrams, wiring diagrams, and test procedures.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn and continually develop.
  • Ability to work under general direction.

Additional Information

This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
