The Opportunity

TC Energy's Construction Management & Inspection US team in its collaborative effort led by the Project Delivery Excellence organization, brought together to lead a series of critical initiatives focused on improving overall inspection execution resulting in improved performance on TC's portfolio of capital projects. The team is seeking an experienced Construction Data Analyst who will report to the Construction Support Manager-CM & I (US).

In this role you will be accountable for the support of CM & I deliverables within a supporting team. The role will involve both office and field duties.

The successful candidate will collaborate with various business units including US Natural Gas Projects (USNGP), external vendors and other stakeholders in supporting of activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proficiency in data tools, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What you'll do

  • Work in a safe environment observing all safety and environmental standards, requirements and practices
  • Showcase and drive collaboration, trust, commitment, responsibility, innovation and performance excellence
  • Support program development, implementation and management for the 4D Tool
  • Gather data from multiple sources (databases, APIs, spreadsheets, etc.).
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity through cleaning and validation.
  • Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
  • Create dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
  • Provide insights to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Work with SQL and other query languages to extract and manipulate data
  • Maintain and optimize data storage solutions
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting and streamline processes
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging analytics tools
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Prior experience in a similar role within [industry]
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-5years In-Field Natural Gas Construction Experience
  • Fluent with Excel (Formatting & Equations)
  • Active Motor Vehicle Operators License
  • Industry experience or Military MOS related
  • Willing to Travel

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical degree, Industry experience Business, or acceptable related field of study
  • Industry Certifications
  • Natural Gas Background
  • Construction Digital Tablet Background
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience with statistical analysis and tools such as Python, R, or SAS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills to present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets
