As a Site Safety Specialist at DN, you will coordinate and oversee activities of site personnel to ensure a safe and healthy work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations at our Aiken, SC project site. This person will also assist with providing safety training, facilitating safety meetings, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among all stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and conduct pre-job meetings to address hazards associated with the job site.
  • Conduct safe worker observation reports and submit to the STR
  • Conduct and document daily safety
  • Work closely with Construction Management team, general contractors, and subcontractors to ensure implementation of and compliance with safety policies.
  • Actively promote and integrate the "WOW! factor" safety application across project sites to enhance safety practices and cultivate a culture of safety excellence.
  • Ensure compliance on jobsite with safety regulations and company policies while providing coaching, mentoring, and training to the construction team to enhance safety awareness and practices.
  • Assist in safety incident investigations, implement corrective actions, and manage the complete injury cycle, including managing hotline calls and initial triage.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years experience in a construction safety role
  • OSHA 30 for construction certified
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • OSHT, IHIT, CHST certifications are a plus
