(Casual - Testing Proctor) Job Description: The Casual - Testing Proctor assists with the administration of large-scale, state and nationally standardized online testing. Testing Proctors report to the Lead Testing Coordinator at Alexandria City High School. This is a seasonal position, and the need is based on the volume of testing being administered. There are months in the school year when the need is highest (October, December-February, April-June). Specific dates vary within those months based on the VDOE testing window calendar. Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree or 48 college credits, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Bachelor's and/or Master's degree preferred.
- Job-related previous test administration and/or proctoring experience. Experience in high-traffic customer service and/or educational support field, and experience in a multicultural environment interacting with speakers of varying levels of English proficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Attend/complete proctor training sessions as required prior to proctor assignment.
- Training will be completed virtually when possible.
- Assists with the protection of secure, highly confidential, and valuable documents by maintaining inventory, rosters, logs, and testing files.
Within Testing Environment:
- Prepares test tickets and additional materials required for testing.
- Provide students with correct testing tickets and materials by verifying identification, and establish a proper and secure environment to allow them to complete exams in a timely manner.
- Implement testing accommodations as provided by the School Testing Coordinators.
- Proctor College Board online exams on an electronic testing platform.
- Actively monitor online and paper testers while in the testing environment to ensure exam integrity. Report testing irregularities and academic integrity violations to the School Testing Coordinators.
- Administer exams according to Alexandria City Public Schools, Virginia Department of Education, College Board, and ACT guidelines, as well as state and federal law.
- Report violations of exam regulations to the School Testing Coordinators.

- Computer competency; ability to learn new technology quickly
- Ability to function well in a high-stress environment
Compensation: $30.00 an hour Clearances:
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.
- Tuberculosis Skin Test.
Public Health Compliance
