The Sundara Inn & Spa Wellness Instructor takes great care to treat the whole person. What You'll Do

  • Lead safe, inclusive, and inspiring group classes and private sessions for all levels
  • Create clear class plans and adapt instruction to meet diverse student needs and abilities
  • Educate guests on simple home practices and thoughtfully recommend spa-at-home products
  • Support the mind-body-spirit mission of Sundara in daily interactions with guests and team members
  • Maintain a polished, professional presence in studio and around the resort
  • Treat the cleanliness and condition of Sundara as if it were your own
  • Adhere to all standard policies and procedures
  • Report to work on time, in proper attire, impeccably groomed, and "in the moment" ready to deliver exceptional guest service. Work all scheduled shifts

Guest Experience

  • Perform all guest contact activities in a cordial, efficient and professional manner, at all times maintaining a commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Create an atmosphere of tranquility, nurturing and healing, allowing guests to relax and immerse themselves in the experience
  • Communicate the benefits of the classes and answer guest questions, using each conversation as a teaching moment
  • Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with management and fellow employees (both within the department and in other departments), to achieve our common goals of maximizing guest satisfaction
  • Address guest concerns in a thoughtful and gracious manner, even under pressure
  • Approach your work with an eye toward continuous improvement

Education / Certifications / Experience

  • Required: 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification (RYT-200 or equivalent) or relevant group fitness certification for non-yoga modalities
  • Preferred: 1-2 years teaching in a resort, wellness center, or upscale spa environment; additional specialty certifications (restorative, prenatal, therapeutic, breathwork, meditation,

Availability

  • Full-time and part-time positions available
  • Typical hours: 8 - 30+ per week depending on role (classes, private sessions, workshops)
  • Nights and weekends required (peak guest times)
