What to Expect Tesla is hiring a Chemical Operator for the Wet Space Cathode Pilot. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, be safety conscious, display attention to detail, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team-based environment. The successful candidate will safely and efficiently operate equipment in the pCAM pilot space. Process operation requires 24hr coverage and therefore night shift flexibility. This position is responsible for performing analytical testing, making field and DCS process changes, handling of raw materials, and troubleshooting equipment issues. What You'll Do Communicate with fellow chemical operators and engineering team members regarding safety, production, quality, and operational issues within the Wet Space Pilot Follow operating procedures and verbal instruction to run steady state and batch unit operations. Contribute to development of startup, shutdown, and standard operating procedures Issue safe work permits and conduct lock out, tag out of equipment Monitor process variables in both the field and control room.
