The Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the core IT infrastructure-including servers, storage, databases, and network systems-that supports business-critical applications. This role optimizes in-place technologies and evaluates the latest technologies to improve security and operational excellence. Ensure that the IT systems that support businesses function efficiently and smoothly. Additionally, responsible for troubleshooting infrastructure problems, finding solutions, and implementing fixes, as well as minimizing IT outages.


Responsibilities:



  • Manage and oversee day-to-day core Infrastructure services, including Change and Release Management, ensuring operational excellence and continuous tools support.
  • Provide leadership and direction to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), internal staff, and third-party vendors, enforcing performance standards and aligning services with organizational strategic priorities.
  • Oversee the technical design, deployment, and operation of key enterprise technologies, including Juniper switches, Cato Networks, Google Business Workspace, Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Office Wireless Network and Infrastructure, ManageEngine Endpoint Manager, Google/Azure SSO, Cloud HA, DR strategy and additional enterprise tools and platforms as assigned.
  • Utilize hands-on expertise to design and implement robust cloud services across multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and GCP).
  • Develop and implement technical standards, procedures, and best practices across enterprise systems, cloud technologies, network infrastructure, and security to mitigate risk and ensure compliance.
  • Serve as a technical leader, providing guidance to project teams on technology deployment, identifying innovations to improve business productivity, and rapidly adopting new technologies to meet evolving business needs.
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, IT Operations, Product & Program Management, Data Science & Analytics, Digital Engineering teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate technology implementations and streamline processes.
  • Lead the implementation, support, and oversight of critical vendor partnerships for network infrastructure and security solutions including performance evaluation, contract oversight, and service-level compliance.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or Project Management and 5+ years of progressive experience as a senior infrastructure engineer OR 10+ years of progressive experience as a senior infrastructure engineer.
  • Strong technical proficiency in Enterprise Operating Systems (Microsoft Windows Server and major Linux distributions), Directory Services (such as Microsoft Active Directory), Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Google Business Workspace, and Microsoft 365 Suite proficiency.
  • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing services in public and hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP).
  • Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware or KVM) and containerization technologies (Kubernetes and Docker). Working knowledge of Kubernetes cluster design, operation, and sizing.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure and network systems, including SD-WAN, VPN, Wi-Fi, Voice technologies (VoIP, SIP, call managers), enterprise storage, Juniper switches, and Palo Alto firewalls.
  • Proven experience managing endpoints using ManageEngine Endpoint Central and Jamf Pro or Kandji.
  • Demonstrated experience working with outsourced on/offshore infrastructure teams and managing complex vendor relationships (minimum 3 years of vendor relationship management).
  • Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, including effective persuasion, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proven ability to quickly adopt new technologies and products to meet business requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Advanced or current Juniper and cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS) strongly preferred.
  • PMP certification.
  • Knowledge and integration of enterprise SaaS solutions.
  • Experience working with key technology vendors such as OpenNMS, Aruba, Juniper, Slack, Synology, ManageEngine, Zabbix, Zoom, and Veeam.

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $160,000 to $170,000 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A.
