Step into a key role as an Industrial Project Scheduler, where you will help turn complex project plans into successful execution. You will work closely with project managers, field leaders, and preconstruction teams to translate customer specifications into a clear, actionable scope of work. You will develop and maintain detailed project schedules and cost controls that keep teams aligned with timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. You will also manage standard progress reporting, integrate scope changes, and keep project leadership informed with accurate, timely updates. Beyond daytoday execution, you will support estimating efforts, contribute to bid proposals, and help drive ongoing process improvements. - Apply expertise in scope coordination and analysis, work package review, schedule development, cost engineering, contractor coordination, integrated cost/schedule management, budget development, cost accounting, forecasting, performance reporting, and contingency planning to support project management efforts.
- Develop and implement standardized cost and schedule programs, processes, and practices for assigned projects, including status reporting and schedule updates.
- Track, analyze, and interpret project data, ensuring accuracy and integrity, and provide recommendations to management based on findings.
- Support estimating and construction planning by assisting with takeoffs, markups, drawings, specifications, contract documents, and bid preparation for both proposed and awarded projects.
- Identify costperformance trends and deviations from budget targets, alerting project management to potential risks or issues.
- Protect the integrity of project budgets by monitoring progress, performance, critical path, scope changes, fiscal adjustments, and contingency reallocations; analyze impacts of major schedule changes or delays.
- Prepare and issue project cost reports, including forecasted final costs, variances, and notifications of significant potential overruns or underruns.
- Participate in construction meetings as needed and report on current project status.
- Travel to and support project sites nationwide, with assignment durations varying from less than one year to up to five years based on client and project requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Data Analytics, or related field of study, OR four years or more of professional experience in construction or project management.
- Two years or more of experience working in an industrial/construction setting with project scheduling, project controls, or related scope of work with large capital projects.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, with professional experience using MS Project and Primavera P6.
Solid understanding of blueprint reading and buildingsystem integration, with familiarity-or the ability to learn-AutoCAD, BIM design tools, Revit, PlanGrid, Bluebeam/Adobe Pro, estimating software, and common filesharing platforms.
Ability to quickly learn and become proficient with InEight, Prologue, and other constructionmanagement software systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, paired with a strong customerservice mindset.
Exceptional organizational and timemanagement abilities, with capability to schedule and coordinate projects to meet deadlines.
Ability to obtain access to Department of Energy, federal, and military facilities.
Other Details:
- This position will report regularly in person to Idaho Falls, ID.
- This position may require local and regional travel, with frequency and duration depending on operational needs.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with company's driving policy.
