Functional Lead, Oracle

The Functional Lead, Oracle is a key member in the Enterprise Applications Group reporting to the Enterprise applications manager. As an lead, you will analyze business needs across Supply Chain, Maintenance, and financial areas to ensure Oracle EBusiness suite solution meets customer objectives. Design innovative solutions that maximize the use of standard Oracle EBS product capabilities to meet customer objectives. Ensures enterprise solution spans across the customer's business processes. Recommends and justifies enhancements to Oracle products to meet complex customer needs. Presents and demonstrates solutions to business stakeholders. Builds and maintains up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge. Possess knowledge around implementation methodologies and best practices.

Key Responsibilities



  • Establish an application roadmap and expand the use of the company ERP by identifying opportunities to replace old and disparate systems
  • Provide oversight to Oracle team for the successful delivery of projects, initiatives, and production support
  • Provide operational support for day-to-day processing on EBS Supply chain modules (P2P and O2C). Support other modules as need arises.
  • Provide timely, consistent, and comprehensive application support to ERP business areas, including troubleshooting user issues.
  • Review Oracle application patches and work on application upgrades to keep the application patched to the latest and greatest patch set.
  • Ensure the ERP group has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver solutions; anticipate product and technology requirements and drive training the team to meet future demand.
  • Participate and lead delivery excellence by creation of business value propositions, standardization of project/initiative deliverables, templates, tool kits etc.
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review ERP system capabilities
  • Perform requirements fit gap analysis with Oracle EBS standard functionality and come up with solution options to address the business needs or requirements.
  • Provide functional and technical design on reports, interfaces, data conversions, enhancements, and workflows (CEMLI)
  • Configure oracle applications to meet functional and technical designs. Update the modules configuration based on growing business needs.
  • Develop testing process and specific test cases for new applications or business processes. Also plan and conduct testing cycles including integration and user acceptance testing cycles.
  • Train end-users on process and system changes

  • Effectively listen to end users and stakeholders around business and application issues
  • Ability to analyze the problem and come up with system and process solution options
  • Proactively work with business users on mitigating issues that can affect the month-end close or regular day-to-day activities performed within the Oracle applications


Skills



  • Familiar with supply chain and finance related business processes
  • Functional knowledge of financial and supply chain oracle modules
  • Technical understanding of EBS related product modules and table structures
  • Familiar with Oracle OUM and AIM methodologies to support the applications and CEMLI development
  • Familiar with TOAD/SQL Developer, Oracle Reports builder, Oracle workflow, Oracle BI Publisher, PL/SQL programming, AME approvals.


Experience



  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Oracle EBS related Supply Chain applications
  • Oracle EBS R12 experience
  • Experience with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations
  • Bachelor's degree (with computer or information sciences related specialization or any other relevant major)
