Job Title: Loan Processor Department: Home Loan Center Location: Los Angeles, CA (Onsite - Required 5 Days a Week) We are looking for a Loan Processor to join our Home Loan Center team at Open Bank! The Loan Processor will be responsible for managing home mortgage loans. This role will originate and control active home mortgage loans, perform client consultation, input inquiry on core system, process loan file documentation, maintain and update reports for investor and portfolio loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review loan applications for completeness and accuracy.
- Collect, verify, and analyze borrow documentation.
- Order and review preliminary title report.
- Input all data in loan origination system.
- Track loan status and maintain accurate records in the loan origination system.
- Prepare and send out Loan Estimate and the initial disclosures ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Open/Request escrow documents.
- Communicate with borrowers, brokers, builders, appraisers, title officers, escrow officers, etc.
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in banking and/or lending preferred.
- Must be able to work independently without constant supervision.
- Experience in retail/lending sales and customer service functions is a plus.
- Working knowledge of computers, related business programs and banking systems.
- Use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
- Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
- Present a professional image in dealing with customers, interdepartmental, and external representatives.
- Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail and on-line banking programs.
- [Work Location Requirement] This position requires working onsite at our Open Bank's Western Office location five (5) days a week. Candidates must be able to commute to and work from this location.
