TRIP INTERN

The NGL Export & Market Analysis Intern will support the Energy Transfer NGL Export team in both analytical and operational functions. This role offers hands-on experience in product and freight market analysis, global NGL trade flows, and exposure to real-world operations at one of the nation's leading midstream companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in understanding and analyzing the global NGL market, including supply and demand balances, freight trends, and international trading flows.
  • Support ongoing market research efforts by gathering and summarizing data from company reports, analyst insights, and industry publications.
  • Track major infrastructure projects in the U.S. upstream and midstream sectors to help assess potential impacts on NGL supply and demand.
  • Assist in maintaining analytical models and datasets that support the business's strategic and operational decisions.
  • Learn to use industry tools such as Kpler, Right Angle, and other data platforms to perform market and vessel flow analysis.
  • Help prepare presentations and reports for management, business development, and marketing teams.
  • Provide support in monitoring export documentation and vessel operations, gaining exposure to key operational processes such as nominations, freight logistics, and scheduling.
  • Observe and assist with tracking policy and regulatory developments (e.g., Panama Canal operations, IMO regulations) that may impact business performance.

Required Skills (External)

Preferred qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in Business, Finance or Engineering
  • Strong computer and advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Must possess a strong willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to adapt well to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions in a fast paced environment
  • Must be a team player, and able to work effectively with a diverse workforce and with various levels within the organization
