Job Objective
The Director, Enterprise PMO is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide Project Management Office (PMO), serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership and providing governance and oversight for all project management activities across the organization. This role plays a critical leadership role within the Integration Management Office (IMO), ensuring project execution aligns with enterprise strategy and business objectives.
The Director, Enterprise PMO provides leadership to Project Management and IT functions within the IMO, including Project Managers, Business Systems Analysts, IT Operations, and Master Data Architects. This role establishes and maintains project management standards, governance frameworks, and best practices to drive successful project delivery, support acquisition integrations, and enable continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
In addition to the essential job functions described below, associates may perform other duties as assigned.
Lead the planning, execution, and governance of enterprise-wide projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, budget, and quality expectations
Oversee the intake, evaluation, and prioritization of project requests, partnering with business and technology leaders to align initiatives with strategic objectives
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentorship to Project Managers, Business Systems Analysts, IT Operations, and Master Data Architects within the IMO
Develop, maintain, and continuously improve Smartsheet project plans, KPI dashboards, and reporting tools to track and communicate integration progress
Design and implement PMO processes, procedures, governance models, and documentation to support consistent and effective project delivery
Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation through closure, including post-project reviews and lessons learned
Facilitate enterprise resource planning and allocation, including the use of contract or third-party resources as needed
Monitor and report on project portfolio health, risks, dependencies, progress, and issues to executive leadership and steering committees
Champion organizational change management and continuous improvement initiatives across the enterprise
Ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement at all levels, including executive leadership, IMO teams, and cross-functional partners
Oversee vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and ongoing vendor relationships
Maintain accurate and complete project documentation, deliverables, and artifacts to support compliance and knowledge sharing
Present project status, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and governance bodies
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Systems, Project Management, or a related field
10+ years of experience in project management, portfolio management, and organizational change management within a complex, enterprise environment
Proven experience leading an enterprise-level PMO, including successfully building and standing up a PMO from the ground up
Demonstrated success defining and implementing PMO governance models, policies, procedures, and performance standards
Required experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including enterprise-wide integration planning, execution, and governance
Experience leading enterprise ERP initiatives required; SAP project experience preferred
PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications preferred
Proven ability to lead high-risk, high-visibility initiatives and manage complex, cross-functional teams
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
Proficiency with project management platforms and tools; Smartsheet experience required
Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation
Willingness to travel as needed to support integration initiatives
