What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
  • Work closely with local authorities and emergency response teams during incidents as required by site protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.
  • Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift to provide a visible presence and help to deter unwanted activity.
  • Follow all site-specific procedures for armed patrols, including the handling and storage of assigned equipment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security experience or possess a college degree.
  • Have one or more years of law enforcement experience or two or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or three or more years of security experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card or armed guard license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
