Aquent has an exciting opportunity for an Interventional Home Charges Coordinator in Palo Alto, CA! This role is 100% on-site. For this reason, we will only consider candidates who currently live in or can comfortably commute to our client's office in Palo Alto. In addition, to be considered for this role, you must:
- Be authorized to work in the United States
- Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
- Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this role.

In this dynamic role, you will be the linchpin connecting clinical teams, vendors, and financial departments. You'll be instrumental in managing the intricate details of supply chain logistics, inventory, and patient charging procedures. Your expertise will directly empower care providers, streamline essential processes, and ensure the financial integrity that underpins high-quality healthcare. You'll contribute to continuous improvement, cost containment, and the overall operational excellence that defines our client's commitment to patient well-being. **What You'll Do:** * Process patient charges accurately and efficiently within assigned service areas.
* Act as a vital liaison between direct patient care providers, other departments, physician offices, and vendors regarding supplies, equipment, patient charges, and revenue management.
* Serve as a clearinghouse for clinical requests for product information, proactively contacting vendors and other institutions for emergency items.
* Develop and update essential charge documentation for use by direct care providers.
* Educate clinical staff on patient charging procedures, collaborating with clinical educators to orient new team members and students.
* Interface with financial services teams for data entry and auditing, and with revenue cycle management teams for charge explanations and documentation for reimbursement.
* Maintain meticulous computer system item file details and complete purchase order records.
* Manage on-site inventory of specialized supplies and equipment as assigned.
* Actively participate in monitoring and documenting quality improvement initiatives, identifying and recommending cost-containment strategies.
* Process returns of recalled equipment and supplies, and manage repairs with external vendors.
* Receive and verify all external deliveries of supplies and equipment for assigned clinical areas, ensuring product integrity, proper documentation, and timely delivery.
* Requisition supplies from purchasing based on utilization data from charge sheets and operational records.
* Assist in the evaluation of new supplies and equipment, conducting trial studies and maintaining records.
* Review and verify medical record documentation for patients, completing necessary patient charge documents.
* Uphold administrative decisions and ensure full compliance with all departmental, institutional, and regulatory policies and procedures.
* Contribute to unit, department, or institutional committees as requested. **Must-Have Qualifications:** * High School Diploma or equivalent.
* Three (3) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience in a high-volume institutional setting, with at least one year in a purchasing-related field.
* Demonstrated proficiency in standard office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
* Ability to adapt to and navigate change and ambiguity effectively.
* Strong commitment to continuous self-assessment and proactive learning of new skills, equipment, or procedures.
* Ability to contribute positively to team and departmental goals.
* Adept at handling complaints and sensitive concerns with courtesy and confidentiality.
* Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, managers, physicians, patients, and their families.
* Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in mathematical calculations.
* Ability to perform diverse duties to support patient care and unit functions.
* Capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* Physical ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs, stand and walk for extended periods, and move without restriction.
* Solid knowledge of inventory maintenance principles.
* Familiarity with medical terminology.
* Understanding of supply ordering processes.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Exceptional service-oriented approach. **Nice-to-Have Qualifications:** * Associate's (AA) or Bachelor's (BS) degree in healthcare or a related field. The target hiring compensation range for this role is $40.00 to $46.00 an hour.
