Project Accountant

Now Hiring Project Accountant

Location Lafayette, LA

Schedule Monday - Friday (8 AM - 5 PM)

Salary$60,000 - $75,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage project budgets, forecasts, costs, and financial reports.
• Review and process subcontractor invoices, change orders, progress billings, and project payments.
• Collaborate with project managers on budget revisions, cost-to-complete estimates, and variance analysis.
• Prepare project-specific financial statements and ensure compliance with contract terms, GAAP, and industry regulations.
• Manage project setup in accounting systems, accounts receivable, and maintain documentation for audits and financial controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally in construction or engineering.
• Proficiency in construction-related software (Sage, Procore, Foundations, Viewpoint) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and AIA billing.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial reporting tools.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
