A Day In The Life
The Human Resource Consultant III under the direction of the President, Accelerated Solutions Group (ASG), will 1) provide primary general HR services to customers, 2) work directly with associates and leaders to ensure that all HR data is captured and recorded in multiple HR databases, 3) own onboarding efforts and administrative support for recruiting efforts 4) coordinate contract/temporary staffing services with recruiters, hiring managers and, 5)

provide advanced HR expertise and serves as a trusted advisor on complex associate relations, regulatory compliance, and organizational processes.

This role independently manages sensitive matters such as FMLA, ADA, and other leave programs, while delivering HR insights and recommendations that balance associate and business needs. In partnership with HR colleagues and business leaders, this Consultant supports talent acquisition, strengthens onboarding and engagement, and drives continuous improvement in HR practices.

As an HR Consultant III you will:

Strategic HR Partnership:

  • Align HR practices with organizational vision, business objectives, corporate policies, and key initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to leaders on HR policies, regulatory requirements, compensation, paid time off, and approval processes.
  • Work closely with leaders and employees to strengthen work relationships, build morale, and improve productivity and retention.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational improvement and implement initiatives that enhance engagement, efficiency, and retention.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruitment for administrative and professional positions.
  • Manage the full requisition and hiring process including creating requisitions, coordinating interview logistics, extending job offers, preparing offer letters, and initiating background and drug screenings.
  • Coordinate with external agencies and managers to fulfill contractor and temporary staffing needs.

Onboarding & Employee Experience:

  • Own onboarding processes, including compliance review of new hire documentation and coordination of onboarding logistics.
  • Enhance new hire integration by streamlining processes, coordinating internal resources, and driving associate engagement.
  • Coordinate employee recognition and engagement programs, including Service Awards, culture initiatives, and celebration events.
  • Support planning and execution of employee events such as monthly all-hands meetings, training sessions, customer visits, and company celebrations.

Employee Relations & Compliance:

  • Advise and coach managers on complex HR issues including performance management, counseling, disciplinary actions, separations, investigations, and EEOC responses.
  • Support or coordinate implementation of local compliance programs aligned with company values and regulatory frameworks.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, Benefits, Payroll, and shared services teams to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and enhance service delivery.
  • Leave of Absence (LOA) and HR Data Management:
  • Lead administration of LOA processes, including associate communication, documentation management, and coordination with the LOA administrator.
  • Capture, enter, and maintain essential HR data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and applicable laws.
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and ad hoc HR statistical reports for leadership and business partners.
  • Research, analyze, and report on HR data to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and recommend process improvements.

Talent Management, Learning & Development:

  • Lead and support succession planning, leadership development, and training programs that promote employee growth and career progression.
  • Support workforce development initiatives to enhance associate skills and build future leadership pipelines.
  • Work with business units on talent reviews, internal promotions, and broader people-development strategies.

Safety & Workplace Programs:

  • Support the site safety committee and coordinate regular safety meetings.
  • Participate in safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations; observe workplace conditions and employee practices; and provide actionable recommendations to eliminate hazards and improve safety programs.

What We Need From You

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 5-7 years Human Resources experience
  • Experience in supporting a manufacturing business (hourly and admin) - required
  • Experience in supporting a Lean Certified and production safety culture - preferred
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) - required
  • Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday on Northwest side of Houston
  • Solid competencies in the use of Human Resources management systems (UKG, iCIMS and Kronos preferred), databases, the internet and Microsoft Office Products.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of core human resources disciplines with emphasis on administration, employment and associate relations and their application in a variety of business settings.
  • Strong administrative, coordination and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize with attention to detail
  • Ability to routinely deal with fast changing and shifting priorities
  • Ability to multi-task and follow-up with a sense of urgency on all matters
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and proficient typing skills
  • Ability to promote, coordinate, and support change
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current federal, state, and local laws and regulations that affect the business
  • Ability to develop high levels of trust and maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with all levels of management
  • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Strong coaching and feedback skills.
  • Demonstrate proficient computer skills, including strong knowledge / experience in Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Word and Internet search capabilities
  • DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State Required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI Preferred

Physical and Environmental Requirements

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of the job, the associate is required on a daily basis to analyze and interpret data, communicate, and remain in a stationary position for a significant amount of the work day and frequently access, input, and retrieve information from the computer and other office productivity devices. The associate is regularly required to move about the office and around the corporate campus. The associate must frequently move up to 10 pounds and occasionally move up to 25 pounds.

Travel Requirements
10% Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 10% of the time and on a domestic basis).
