Job Title: Scientist Length of Contract: 6 months (cover maternity leave), starting in mid-February '26 Location/Site: North Chicago, IL - 100% onsite, 60064 Description: What are the top 3-5 skills, experience or education required for this position: 1. Background in cell biology/cancer biology/biochemistry/immuno-oncology/immunology. 2. Cell culture experience is required. Experience with Flow Cytometry is a preferred. 3. Knowledge or lab experience about antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) or bi-/multi-specifics will be a plus. 4. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education with 5+ years of experience, or Master's Degree or equivalent education with years of experience with 3+ years of experience. Purpose: Investigate, identify, develop, and optimize new methods and techniques to generate reliable and reproducible data in a timely manner. Read and adapt scientific literature to accomplish assignments and demonstrate broad and versatile technical expertise within an in vitro biology team dedicated to discovering and developing cancer targets in the field of cell death. Responsibilities: * Independently design and conduct critical experiments that further project goals. * Implement and may innovate new experimental protocols/techniques. * Understand the goal and maintain a high proficiency in his/her projects as well as the overall program. * Interpret results and draw conclusions from own multistage experiments, note significant deviations, then suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments. * Understand relevant scientific literature and apply theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner. * Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results. * Impact projects mostly through lab and/or pilot plant-based activities. * Responsible for compliance with all applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures. * Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, GxP compliance, and animal care where applicable. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education, or Master's Degree or equivalent education with 3 years of experience. * Theoretical and practical knowledge to carry out the job functions. | |
