Position Summary The Eleanor and Lou Gehrig ALS Center in the Department of Neurology at Columbia University is seeking a Nurse Practitioner II to join its outpatient multi-disciplinary clinical practice. The practice serves patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, primary lateral sclerosis, Kennedy's disease and related motor neuron diseases. The Nurse Practitioner II will work with the attending physicians and multidisciplinary care team members (comprised of physical, occupational, speech, respiratory therapists, dieticians, social workers, genetic counselors and nurses) to care for patients with these disorders. The Nurse Practitioner II will be expected to ramp up their own panel of patients over the course of the first year. Education and training in general and subspecialty neurological care, including procedures, will be provided as necessary. Responsibilities
