Job Description

As a Producer Commissions Consultant II, you will be responsible for managing and administering producer commissions programs within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of commission structures, insurance products, and regulatory requirements, as well as strong analytical and communication skills to ensure accurate and timely payment of commissions to producers. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance or financial services, with a focus on commissions processing and producer relationship management. Strong Excel skills and some SQL knowledge are required for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for producers regarding commission inquiries, statements, and disputes. Build and maintain strong relationships with producers, providing timely and accurate information and resolving issues or concerns in a professional manner.
  • Oversee the administration of producer commissions programs, including calculating, processing, and reconciling commissions payments. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in commission calculations and payments in accordance with established guidelines and agreements.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize commission processes, procedures, and workflows. Implement best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in commission administration.
  • Maintain accurate records of commission agreements, transactions, and communications with producers. Prepare and distribute commission statements, reports, and documentation as required for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards governing producer commissions, including licensing, disclosure, and reporting obligations. Stay abreast of regulatory changes and updates that may impact commission programs and processes.
  • Utilize commission management systems and software tools such as Excel and SQL to automate and streamline commission processes. Collaborate with IT and operations teams to maintain and enhance system functionality, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
  • Analyze commission data, trends, and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization. Provide insights and recommendations to management for enhancing commission programs, increasing producer productivity, and driving business results.
  • Understand and interpret various commission structures, including base commissions, overrides, bonuses, and incentive programs. Work with internal stakeholders to implement and manage commission structures that align with business goals and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, and data analysis).
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of SQL for querying and managing data.
  • Experience in insurance or financial services, with a focus on commissions processing and producer relationship management.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with commission management systems and related technologies is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is 50,000.00 - 75,050.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
