Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant | Kidney Transplant | Full Time | Days | Detroit

This position is responsible for managing kidney transplant patients who are currently listed but inactive on the transplant waitlist. The role focuses on identifying and addressing clinical barriers preventing patients from active transplant status. Responsibilities include seeing patients in clinic, ordering and reviewing diagnostic testing, coordinating specialty consults and procedures, and facilitating resolution of outstanding medical issues. Once barriers are addressed, the provider will support reactivation on the transplant list to help expedite transplantation.

The position is primarily clinic-based with a standard schedule of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Education/Experience Required:

  • Master's degree in Nursing.

  • Minimum of one year of experience functioning independently as an Advanced Practice Provider.

Certifications/Licensures Required:

  • Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner.

  • Current State licensure as a Registered Nurse.

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, as required by the department.
