JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS The Materials Research Institute (MRI) at Penn State is seeking a part-time PhD researcher for a six-month fixed-term role in ceramic processing. The position focuses on advancing low-temperature processing techniques, such as cold sintering, and requires strong skills in kinetic modeling and experimental design. The candidate will contribute to developing new workflows for electroceramics, optimize processing parameters, and correlate microstructure with functional properties. Responsibilities:
Familiarity with lab protocols and safety-compliant lab practices is expected. The role offers opportunities to mentor students and support Penn State's strategic initiatives in advanced materials and low-temperature processing. Compensation: The starting rate for this job is $25.00 an hour.
