Responsibilities

Clarion Psychiatric Center is currently recruiting for a Dietary Aide. The Dietary Aide assists with with food preparation, general cleaning including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces, daily snack and supply delivery to patient care areas, restock the drink coolers, check dietary invoices against receiving and unpackage products to be placed in storage. Assist primary cook with serving daily meals.

Qualifications

Job Specifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities, who are otherwise qualified, to perform the primary functions.

Duties: Assist with food preparation, general cleaning including dishwashing and sanitizing surfaces, daily snack and supply delivery to patient care areas, restock the drink coolers, check dietary invoices against receiving and unpackage products to be placed in storage. Assist primary cook with serving daily meals.

Education: Unless previously attained, a successful completion of employer provided ServSafe class with certification will be required within first year of employment.

Experience: Two year's experience as a high volume cook in commercial or institutional setting preferred

Knowledge / Skills: Food preparation, use of commercial kitchen equipment, dietary safety and sanitary procedures.

Supervision Exercised: None

Supervision Received: Dietary Director

General Working Environment: Kitchen / Hospital setting. Works in a well-lit and ventilated setting, is subject to frequent interruptions, patient interaction during serving times and while delivering supplies, and personnel throughout designated areas under varying conditions and circumstances.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods. The Physical Requirements described herein are representative of those, which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary functions of this job. Drug/Alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
