Job Description:

  • Handling all day-to-day shipping functions including packaging, labeling and communicating with freight forwarders for pickups.
  • Creating the documentation required for export compliance.
  • Receiving and processing production, expense, RMA (returned material), and virtual items.
  • Participating in cross-functional teams devoted to efficiency, cost-reduction, inventory reduction, inventory turns, and quality.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators to ensure achievement of goals.
  • Evaluating problems and making initial recommendations for possible corrective action.
  • Other projects, duties, or cross-training responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • US Person (ITAR requirement).
  • 5 years of experience in warehousing / shipping / receiving / distribution including knowledge of UPS and FedEx online shipping system.
  • International and freight forwarding shipping experience.Familiarity with export regulations. Possesses dangerous goods certification or willing to get certified. Experience filing with AES for international shipments.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50+ lbs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adhere to schedules, follow instructions and work independently.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3). Benefits of working at Microchip

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $35,000-$87,000.*

*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
