Job Overview

The Director, Supplies & Facilities Management Procurement ensures that stores operate seamlessly and that front-line colleagues and customers receive the support they need. This role focuses on procuring supplies-including packaging materials, MRO, and janitorial items-and managing facilities services such as security, janitorial, and pest control.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Supply Chain & Stores Procurement, the Director oversees categories critical to the operation of stores and supply chain facilities. This role enhances customer and colleague experiences and serves as a key member of the Procurement leadership team. The Director develops and implements sourcing strategies, manages supplier relationships, and ensures excellence across all supplies and facilities management categories.

The Director partners closely with business leaders, demonstrating curiosity and a service-oriented mindset to deliver optimal value and experience to colleagues and customers. Success requires a strong sense of urgency, advanced problem-solving skills, and a solid understanding of demand planning. The ideal candidate has experience in both direct and indirect procurement categories, familiarity with the physical supply chain, and knowledge of low-cost country sourcing. This role also shapes procurement strategies across the organization and mentors team members to drive continuous improvement.

What You Will Do



  • Lead the procurement of all supplies and facilities management categories, ensuring high standards of quality, cost-effectiveness, and service for stores and front-line teams.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for packaging materials, MRO, janitorial supplies, security services, pest control, and related categories.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and drive supplier performance to support operational and customer experience goals.
  • Collaborate with stores, supply chain, finance, and facilities teams to understand business needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline operations, automate processes, and enhance performance.
  • Apply advanced demand planning techniques to ensure uninterrupted supply and maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Leverage expertise in both direct and indirect procurement categories to drive value and innovation.
  • Utilize knowledge of the physical supply chain and low-cost country sourcing to optimize procurement strategies.
  • Foster a culture of urgency, accountability, and proactive problem-solving within the team.
  • Lead with hospitality and professionalism, particularly during complex store-related challenges.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, risk mitigation requirements, and all relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and present business cases, supplier scorecards, and performance reports to senior leadership.
  • Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Skills You Will Need

Procurement Expertise: Demonstrated experience in both direct and indirect procurement categories, including packaging materials, MRO, janitorial supplies, and facilities services.

Supplier Management & Negotiation: Strong skills in managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving supplier performance to meet operational and customer experience goals.

Demand Planning & Inventory Management: Expertise in advanced demand planning techniques to ensure uninterrupted supply and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Physical Supply Chain & Sourcing Knowledge: Deep understanding of physical supply chain operations, including low-cost country sourcing strategies.

Strategic Thinking & Continuous Improvement: Ability to develop and implement sourcing strategies, identify opportunities to streamline operations, and enhance procurement performance.

Problem-Solving & Results Orientation: Advanced problem-solving skills with a proven track record of driving results with urgency and accountability.

Leadership & Team Development: Ability to foster a culture of proactive problem-solving, mentorship, and continuous improvement within the team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Strong collaboration and partnership skills, working effectively with stores, supply chain, finance, and facilities teams to deliver tailored solutions.

Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, including preparing business cases, supplier scorecards, and reports for senior leadership.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with procurement software, data analysis tools, and leveraging technology to optimize sourcing and supplier management.

Customer & Service Orientation: Demonstrates curiosity, hospitality, and a service-minded approach to enhance the experience for colleagues and customers.

Who You Are



  • Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. Advanced degree or relevant certifications preferred.
  • 8 plus years of procurement experience, with a focus on supplies and facilities management categories. Retail / CPG experience is a plus.
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
