Compliance Coordinator - Regulatory Readiness & Response
Job ID: 103704

Do you want to work on complex and pressing challenges-the kind that bring together curious, ambitious, and determined leaders who strive to become better every day? If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.
Your Impact
As a Compliance Coordinator of Regulatory Readiness and Response you will be based in North America or Europe as part of our Ethics & Compliance (E&C) function. This team is responsible for managing risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while enabling client impact and innovation.
Our E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm. Specifically, you will work within the Regulatory Readiness and Response pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm adheres to regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will own specific aspects of day-to-day program management activities for E&C programs, including tracking progress on initiatives, resolving roadblocks, and escalating issues for senior support.
You will collect data and prepare regular updates for our firm leadership, E&C program oversight committees, governing bodies, and E&C leadership on the status of regulatory initiatives, while also supporting the production of progress updates for internal and external stakeholders on ethics and compliance-related topics.
Collaborating with other firm functions (e.g., Risk, Legal), you will manage the tracking and communication of interrelated initiatives, identify and surface dependencies between different actions, and recommend solutions for managing them, such as timing and handoffs.
You will coordinate requests and submissions for external reviews and audits required by regulatory and governmental agencies. As a part of this responsibility, you will support data collection, redaction, and staging for internal and external review. You will manage scheduling and communication development between the firm and the external provider.
Additionally, you will provide "surge" support to workstreams or activity owners for content development, including identifying technology needs and assessing system impacts based on program requirements.
You will contribute to building a robust ecosystem of E&C program management systems and tools to drive program execution, including implementing and enhancing software solutions for program tracking.
As part of your responsibilities, you will engage in regionally focused initiatives under the direction of regional E&C leaders to raise awareness of our firm's integrity agenda and support other agreed-upon activities in your region or location.
You will collaborate with cross-functional and senior stakeholder groups (e.g., Legal, Risk) to develop or enhance procedures, policies, or guidelines, and play a critical role in sustaining and evolving our firm's E&C program while upholding its commitment to integrity and lawful practices.
Your work will help ensure McKinsey maintains the highest standards of ethics and compliance, instilling trust in our clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Your Growth
You are someone who thrives in a high-performance environment, bringing a growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit to tackle meaningful challenges that have a real impact.
In return for your drive, determination, and curiosity, we'll provide the resources, mentorship, and opportunities to help you quickly broaden your expertise, grow into a well-rounded professional, and contribute to work that truly makes a difference.
When you join us, you will have:
  • Continuous learning: Our learning and apprenticeship culture, backed by structured programs, is all about helping you grow while creating an environment where feedback is clear, actionable, and focused on your development. • Exceptional benefits: On top of a competitive salary (based on your location, experience, and skills), we provide a comprehensive benefits package to enable holistic well-being for you and your family.
Your qualifications and skills
  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree(s) and/or applicable professional certifications (e.g., Juris Doctor or CPA) preferred
  • 3+ years of overall experience with experience in driving and implementing holistic E&C programs especially around regulatory response preferred
  • Excellent organizational capabilities, including the ability to initiate tasks independently and see them through to completion
  • Proficient in rational decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
  • Ability to create work product-focused materials / outputs, which may include PowerPoint decks, Excel models, articles, or other written deliverables
  • Exceptional time management to meet your responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment
  • Ability to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours or take on projects with limited or no notice at times
