Job Title: Communications Associate (Digital Content Creation & Development).
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Remote).

Position Summary:
  • The Digital Communications Specialist will provide operational support and execution of digital content and tactics for the Pennsylvania team at Client.
  • This role involves video production, social media content distribution, motion graphic development, and website content placement, ensuring all creative work aligns with Client brand guidelines and strategic objectives.
  • In addition, this position will include in-community work, attending in-person events for photo and video capture to support local engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Leadership & Coordination:
    • Lead and coordinate account activities, ensuring deliverables are met.
    • Facilitate regular status calls with Pennsylvania team members.
    • Manage consultants supporting the Pennsylvania team, including administrative duties such as invoicing, auditing, and timely payments.
    • Oversee year-end administrative requirements for 1099s.
  • Digital Communication Operations:
    • Collaborate with Pennsylvania office staff and regional leadership to understand digital media strategies and goals.
    • Support and supplement content distribution on digital platforms.
    • Coordinate and support digital promotion campaigns.
    • Distribute web articles and digital content.
    • Monitor and track projects and client digital health for opportunities to increase support.
    • Meet regularly with Pennsylvania team members to ensure communication needs are met.
  • Content Creation & Development:
    • Create and edit videos for distribution across platforms (Facebook, YouTube, websites, email).
    • Develop motion/animated graphics and design still imagery with overlays, text, and logos.
    • Build and track paid promotions through digital platforms.
    • Focus on operational support for social/digital channels to streamline strategic objectives for Pennsylvania staff.
  • In-Community Engagement:
    • Attend in-person events across Pennsylvania (primarily Lancaster/Harrisburg area) to capture photography and videography for digital and social media use.
    • Operate photography and videography equipment (provided by Client).
    • Ensure timely editing and distribution of event content to support engagement goals.
  • Reporting & Assessment:
    • Submit monthly summary reports detailing deliverables completed, anomalies, and recommendations.
    • Provide monthly overviews of work, travel, and time away.
    • Participate in monthly check-ins with managers and consultants.
    • Engage in mid-contract assessments, providing detailed explanations of project milestones and deliverables.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in digital communications, including video production, social media, and web content management.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in developing creative content for multiple digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with brand compliance and strategic messaging.
  • Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Photography and videography experience preferred.
Additional Information:
  • Location: Remote, but candidate must reside in the Lancaster/Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area.
  • Travel: Approximately 20% for in-community events.
  • Equipment: Photography and videography equipment will be provided.
  • Contract Type: Independent Contractor, not eligible for Client employee benefits.
