Position Overview: The Information Technology group within Kimball International's Corporate Headquarters is seeking a college student for an exciting summer internship opportunity during the summer of 2026. This internship will provide hands-on experience in application development and software engineering, working alongside experienced developers on real-world projects that impact Kimball's business operations. Internship Responsibilities: Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging data engineering applications primary SQL and Power BI Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze application requirements Support development and maintenance of BI application Participate in development reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Help with troubleshooting and resolving BI tickets Document BI model designs, user guides, and technical specifications Required Qualifications: Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field or local Jasper graduated students. Basic understanding of programming languages such as SQL Familiarity with software development, lifecycles and methodologies Familiarity to develop data engineering solutions to feed semantic models and to support operational reporting using tools like SQL and Power BI Preferred Qualifications: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and teamwork skills Coursework or projects involving application development or software engineering Location and Work Requirements: Must be local to Jasper, IN Required to work onsite at the Jasper Corporate Headquarters Job Requirements The ideal candidate will work from our Jasper, IN headquarters.
