PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $31.92-$38.85 hourly. The full Pay Range is $24.76-$46.06 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. At BECU, you'll play a vital role in delivering trust, accuracy, and peace of mind to our members during one of life's most significant moments-buying or refinancing a home. As a Sr Mortgage Loan Disclosure Services Specialist, you'll use your deep mortgage knowledge to ensure loan quality, regulatory compliance, and timely disclosures, all while supporting a smooth and transparent lending experience.

Your expertise will directly influence member satisfaction by helping loans move efficiently from disclosure through closing. You'll also make a lasting impact by sharing your knowledge-mentoring teammates, strengthening processes, and helping BECU continuously raise the bar for compliance and service excellence.

To join our dynamic team in this role, we require candidates to be residents of WA state. If you're located within a reasonable driving distance to our Tukwila Headquarters (TFC), we encourage you come into the office on Tuesdays & Wednesdays each week. Remote or onsite, we are committed to ensuring you are fully engaged and included in our collaborative environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Deliver Compliant Loan Disclosures: You'll prepare initial and revised Loan Estimates as well as pre-closing and post-closing Closing Disclosures within required regulatory timeframes, workflows, and service level agreements.

  • Ensure Loan Data Accuracy: You'll validate and confirm all data on locked loans, ensuring each file meets loan program requirements while partnering with Secondary Marketing and Loan Officers to resolve needed changes.

  • Manage Settlement and Closing Reviews: You'll monitor and ensure receipt of estimated and final settlement statements within TRID timelines, review closing documents for discrepancies, and issue revised documents or member refunds when needed.

  • Apply Mortgage and Regulatory Expertise: You'll maintain in-depth knowledge of first mortgage lending practices, including federal and state regulations, agency requirements, credit union standards, investor guidelines, and private mortgage insurer policies.

  • Support a Variety of Loan Programs: You'll leverage your understanding of conventional and special mortgage loan programs, ensuring appropriate documentation is in place for underwriting approval.

  • Drive Process Improvements: You'll assist with implementing enhancements that improve compliance, efficiency, and turnaround times across Mortgage Fulfillment.

  • Manage Document Imaging and Records: You'll review, label, index, and upload loan documents and images accurately using established naming conventions and systems, including the Imaging Center and Central Home Loans inbox.

  • Execute Time-Sensitive Communications: You'll mail disclosures and letters through Print and Ship or send them electronically within required daily deadlines.

  • Mentor and Support Teammates: You'll assist with training and mentoring less experienced team members, helping strengthen the team's overall capability and consistency.

  • Support the Business as Needed: You'll perform additional duties as assigned, always aligned with BECU competencies, compliance, regulatory, and information protection requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors' degree in business or equivalent related experience.

  • Minimum of two years' experience in mortgage lending.

  • Experience working with TRID (TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure) requirements, including the application of regulatory timelines, disclosure accuracy standards, and compliance controls.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in processing, funding, or post-closing of conventional, FHA and VA Mortgage loans.

  • Prior use of a loan origination system and successful completion of courses or seminars relating to mortgage banking processing.

  • Experience with Encompass loan origination system.

  • Proficient math skills, with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Proficient verbal and written skills to effectively communicate and provide customer service.
