Primary Care Advanced Practice Provider (PA) - Per Diem - UNC Health Virtual Practice Primary Care

UNC Health is currently seeking a Per Diem Physician Assistant to join our Virtual Practice Primary Care Team. The UNC Health Virtual Practice offers scheduled and on demand video, telephone, and E-Visits for a range of primary care conditions, allowing patients access to convenient, personalized care that fits their schedule - 16 hours per day, 365 days per year.

About This Position:

• Virtual management of acute and chronic primary care needs
• Remote position, offering the opportunity for work/life balance with no commute. Must be physically located in the state of NC
• Per diem position, working three 4-hour shifts per month including days, evenings, and holidays.

Ideal Candidate:

• 2+ years of primary care experience is required
• Experience with behavioral health is a plus
• Open-minded and flexible with change
• Strong virtual presence
• Dedicated to developing new and exciting ways to deliver care

Education Requirements:
* Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) program.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider (i.e., Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant) in the state of North Carolina.
* Board certification if required by the Department. DEA.
Professional Experience Requirements:
* No prior experience required.
Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:
* Demonstrated clinical competency.
* Effective leadership skills. Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
* Demonstrated written and verbal communication and strong analytical skills.
* Effective interaction to ensure the successful care of patients in the clinical setting.
* Documentation in the medical record to substantiate accurate billing.
