Chemonics International is conducting a recruit for a Growth Sr. Associate for Growth Division. The Growth senior associate provides support to the market entry strategies and proposal development efforts across the Growth Division. The senior associate supports proposal preparation, development, and submission in progressively advanced roles. The senior associate supports resourcing for the Growth Division's proposal teams and reviews proposal documents to ensure adherence to company policy and client specifications and requirements. The senior associate conducts administrative tasks necessary for the continuity of operations for the Growth Division Strategy and Management Team and supports administration and operations for new market teams as needed. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities:

Market Strategy Development and Portfolio Management

  • Serves as new market team liaison, providing general support for market entry activities; sharing information; ensuring teams have necessary resources to respond to tenders, develop expressions of interest, or create pitches; and providing quality control and assurance aligned with divisional best practices and guidelines

  • Regularly maintains internal trackers, updates corporate record-keeping systems, and ensures files are up to date; shares timely information with the strategy and management team, new market teams, and Growth Division leadership

  • Supports go/no-go decisions and staffing of proposals across Growth Division

  • Provides administrative backstopping for consultants and contractors

  • Supports planning and execution of divisional activities such as training development and delivery, revision or creation of guidance, tools, and best practices; corporate initiative roll out; application of AI in proposal development; coordination across new market teams; identification and assessment of new markets, etc.

  • Attends internal and external events and conferences to collect information and network

  • May dedicate time to other workstreams and functions to achieve Growth Division goals, including operations and technical practice contributions

New Business Development

  • Participates on capture and live proposal teams in specific roles of increasing complexity, including past performance writer, corporate capabilities writer, recruiter, coordinator, cost preparer, and/or subcontractor liaison

  • Recruits and provides logistical support to new business consultants, including drafting agreements, coordinating travel logistics, tracking timesheets and level of effort, and submitting and tracking payment requests

  • Provides mentorship as appropriate to staff in new business roles and best practices

  • Serves as acting new business manager and performs other duties as required

Technical

  • Engages in technical practice of relevance to areas of interest or focus

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant administrative or professional work experience, including 1 year of business development, contractual, procurement, project management, or related experience

  • Communicates clearly and concisely in both verbal and written communications; strong cross-culture communication and sensitivity skills

  • Demonstrated experience multitasking with attention to detail, organization, and time management skills

  • Demonstrated experience following standard practices and procedures, receiving general instruction and supervision, and contributing to projects and initiatives

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Works independently and as part of a team

  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in problem solving and initiative to learn new skills

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Foreign language proficiency preferred

  • Previous experience working in international development and/or living or conducting volunteer work in developing countries a plus

  • Willingness to travel for up to 8 weeks per year

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $52,900 - $66,200.

An employee's pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.

Overtime exemption status may change due to state regulatory requirements.
