Medical Lab Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs, calculates, reviews and reports laboratory diagnostic tests. Understands the clinical significance of the testing performed. Responsible for accurate, immediate reporting of test results, identifying issues, troubleshooting and resolving problems, instrument maintenance, documentation of problems. Follows safe laboratory practice. Performs phlebotomies and processes specimens in a safe, accurate and professional manner. Interacts with all types of patients, volunteers, and coworkers in a pleasant, efficient and cooperative manner. Monitors patient results for unexpected reactions and responds to emergency situations as required. Provides and receives constructive feedback from laboratory leadership members. Works with laboratory and hospital staff to provide efficient and timely collections and reporting of results.

EDUCATION:
Associate's degree in medical technology or laboratory science. Certified CLA or MLT. Eligible for Certification in the field, certification must be complete with 1 year of hire date.

EXPERIENCE:
6 months to 1 year to be proficient to work on-call.

SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS:

Evening: $2.25

Weekend: $2.55

RELOCATION:

SIGN ON BONUS:

Sign on bonus of $5,000 is offered to eligible candidates. Certain terms and conditions apply.
