Job Description

Pre-award Functions (75%):
*Facilitate the preparation of all documentation for external grant applications, including the following
Interpret sponsor guidelines for compliance
Budgets, including cost-share
Budget justifications
Initiate the ePSRS, and secure approvals
Compliance documentation
Sub-recipient documentation
*Manage the completion of external (sponsor-required) forms
Sponsor budget forms
Administrative portions of applications
Sponsor compliance forms
Data entry in sponsor submission systems
*Coordinate with collaborators from within and outside the institution, and their grant staff to fulfill sub-recipient requirements

Post-award functions (25%):
For new grant-funded projects
*Review of the Notice of Award, and associated terms and conditions
*Full review of the Grant Award Summary (GAS) and act on any modifications that may be needed
*Ensure segregation of duty forms are signed by the PI
*Confirm shared credit and cost share DeptIDs
*Communicate and meet with PIs for quick resolution of issues
*Coordinate with the PI and HR to set up payroll distributions and expenses
*Monitor grant accounts, and provide monthly expenditure reports and spending projections to avoid over/underspending
*Review expenses and ensure the charges are allowable and allocable
*Prepare journal entries as needed

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8 am to 5 pm with occasional evening or weekends for special projects.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Research administrator certification

Five years of grants and contracts or related research administration experience

Five years of experience with PeopleSoft Grants Module

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary commensurate with education and experience.
Salary range: $52,915 - $66,000 per year
Grade: GGS-9E
