Lead Operations Analyst - Brokerage & Middle Office, Key Investment Services

JOB SUMMARY:

The Lead Operations Analyst assists Key Investment Services ("KIS") New Accounts, Cashiering, and Annuities by serving as a subject matter expert and resource for complex issues and inquiries. The Lead Operations Analyst assists in special projects, desk coverage and workflow processes, including review of desktop procedures. Additionally, this teammate analyzes and recommends solutions, working with management to evaluate and implement process improvements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Resolve escalated issues and provide subject matter expertise (SME) for Key Investment Services Middle Office.
  • Conduct daily review of new account openings, missing documentation, and TEFRA withholding.
  • Assist with the maintenance of fund direct business.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly CIU (Customer Identification Unit) recons.
  • Review and approve work submitted by KIS Middle Office.
  • Collaborate with other operational groups, compliance, and legal to complete projects, company initiatives, and regulatory/industry changes.
  • Identify problems, offer process improvement solutions and document such solutions.
  • Comply with regulatory requirements and risk guidelines.
  • Take on assignments of a complex nature and make sound decisions with limited direction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities, and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.
  • Comply with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.

EDUCATION:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

WORK EXPEREINCE:

  • 4+ years of working experience in brokerage operations
  • Experience working in financial services operations, preferred
  • Working knowledge of NetX360 and familiarity with Pershing, preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office programs

LICENSES (OPTIONAL):

Series 99, preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face and on the phone with teammates and clients.
  • Use of PC, phone, and other office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.

TRAVEL/DRIVING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license may be necessary depending on location and role responsibilities.

WORK LOCATION CATEGORY:

  • Hybrid (2+ days in office)

As a result, this role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $57,000.00 - $87,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
