The New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) Commissioner Office is seeking an experienced and highly strategic Director of Operations to join the executive management team of the agency. This critical leadership role supports the First Deputy Commissioner in overseeing six operational divisions and advancing the core objectives, long-term priorities, and interagency initiatives of the agency. The Director of Operations will serve as a senior advisor on operational strategy, workforce management, and program execution. The role requires exceptional judgment, strong leadership, and the ability to navigate complex bureaucracies while managing high-profile, citywide initiatives. Minimum Qualifications 1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four (4) years of full-time experience in city planning, at least eighteen (18) months of which must have been in a managerial capacity; or Preferred Skills
-Extensive experience working within municipal or large public-sector organizations -Strong leadership and project management skills -Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities -Experience working with executive leadership and external partners -Ability to manage cross-divisional initiatives and operational needs -Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills 55a Program
