Job Description




As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Specialist in Beaumont, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence. You will provide excellent customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying the identity of individuals entering and exiting the premises and maintaining visitor logs as required.
  • Provide customer service to all individuals on site by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Report and document any unusual or suspicious activity, security-related incidents, or hazards to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or site management.
  • Support the enforcement of site policies regarding prohibited items, restricted areas, and proper use of credentials within the chemical and petrochemical environment.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • A Transportation Worker Identification Credential TWIC issued by TSA is required.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
