Position Purpose Manages Member Engagement related projects and technology improvements for membership, ensuring members have the resources and technological tools needed to conduct their work.

Lead technology initiatives and programs that enhance member experience and drive organizational growth. Serve as a strategic bridge between technological solutions and member needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Leadership: Partner with Standards Development, IT, Digital Services, and Product Management teams to translate member requirements into technical solutions, overseeing user acceptance testing and product delivery
  • Project Management: Lead complex technology improvement projects from conception to implementation, including incident ticket support and backlog management
  • Strategic Planning: Research industry trends for standards organizations and/or membership related technology and collaborate with senior leadership on annual business planning and capital investments
  • Member Enhancements: Build relationships with committee members and industry leaders. Collaborate with staff and utilize member focus groups to gather new ideas for member tools and resources.

Organization Role

This position reports to General Manager, Membership Engagement. This is an upper level professional role in the Member Engagement Division. It does not initially supervise other Division personnel but has potential for future supervisory roles.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3+ years progressive experience in technical program management or standards development
  • Demonstrated project management and leadership capabilities
  • Travel requirement: 30%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Standards industry experience
  • Technical committee or professional association management experience
  • PMP or similar project management certification
  • Experience with agile development methodologies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work cooperatively with team members to accomplish work
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Organizational and planning skills
