Position Purpose

Lead comprehensive member engagement strategies to drive retention, growth, and satisfaction through innovative programs, strategic partnerships, and data-driven initiatives that enhance the overall member experience.

This position is responsible for managing and coordinating key membership programs including training, promotions (including website content), renewals, retention and recognition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategizes across Member Engagement promotional channels (social media and direct) to optimize impact and engagement on membership initiatives and committee activities. Effectively coordinates engagement opportunities with Standards staff, Communications, and Business Development.
  • Works with staff managers and the CMS team to maintain website content for committee homepages and the appropriate membership pages.
  • Develop and execute strategic member engagement and retention programs
  • Lead cross-functional teams to optimize member experience across all touchpoints
  • Drive revenue growth through strategic sponsorship and partnership programs
  • Oversee comprehensive member education and training portfolio
  • Analyze membership trends and market data to inform strategic decisions
  • Provide strategic direction, manage and create opportunities for member recognition and promotion programs as well as member communications strategy
  • Lead annual renewal campaigns and retention initiatives

Organization Role

This is an upper-level professional role in the Member Engagement Division. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Membership Engagement. This position is responsible for direct reports including the Membership Manager, Membership Administrative Assistant and Awards Coordinator.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years experience in membership organizations, marketing, or business development
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business results
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Travel requirement: 25-30%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of standards industry
  • Training program management experience
  • Sponsorship, partnership management, membership campaign experience
  • Business/marketing orientation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
