Job Description

The Wealth Management Services (WMS) Senior Operations Manager is primarily responsible for all aspects of management and oversight of assigned Wealth Fee Processing team within WMS. This position plans, organizes and provides leadership working closely with various units within Wealth Management and Enterprise Operations and Information Technology with considerable focus on controlling significant financial risk. This position oversees department operational functions to ensure they are executed accurately and efficiently while adhering to governing body regulations and achieving service level objectives. This position will serve as a primary escalation point of high impact issues requiring urgent and immediate resolution.

How You'll Spend Your Time
  • You will oversee all departmental operations and resolve complex issues requiring advanced judgment.
  • You will develop and implement internal policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
  • You will ensure technical problems related to work processes and equipment are effectively resolved.
  • You will manage departmental staff through first-line managers, setting priorities and overseeing daily operations.
  • You will make staffing decisions, including hiring, training, development planning, and retention strategies.
  • You will ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and handle escalated issues related to control accounts.
  • You will lead departmental planning and coordinate with other departments, vendors, and during mergers or conversions.
  • You will define annual objectives, manage budgets, and prepare reports on operational and financial performance.
Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of Bachelor's Degree in Management, Accounting, or Finance with 12+ years of directly related experience in Wealth Management Operations, Securities and/or cash processing, and/or Risk management and at least 4 years of experience in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience.
