Our Values Respect | Belonging | Accountability | Transparency Department Pulmonary PhysiciansJob Summary *Responsible for providing care to patient during their stay overnight in the MICU These tasks include: The MICU teams nightly census is variable but is an average of 20 patients. A CU IM resident is also performing admissions, and a second CU IM resident is providing cross cover on current patients. In addition to the in-house MICU team, a University of Colorado Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow as well as a Denver Health Pulmonary and Critical Care faculty member will be on call and available for assistance especially regarding mechanical ventilation management and advanced critical care medicine decisions. The nocturnal MICU hospitalist will start at the Instructor rank (or higher commensurate with experience) within the University of Colorado School of Medicine. FTE 0.8 (meets Denver Health full time employee criteria) Full time is 120-122 12-hour shifts per year with flexibility in scheduling. Essential Functions:
