What to Expect

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our team at Tesla. In this role, you will be responsible for owning and optimizing the end-to-end field service activities for our Commercial Charging products. The successful candidate will maintain high standards for all service processes, prioritize improvements to align with organizational goals, and drive efficiencies in field repairs, acting as a key liaison between Operations teams and cross-functional partners.


What You'll Do
  • Be responsible for all field service processes, managing changes while holding high standards and ensuring they align with company goals
  • Own the configuration and validation of the service logic that defines our repair operations, including diagnostic symptoms, corrective actions, required parts, and standard labor times
  • Lead operational root cause analysis for field-related performance issues and drive corrective actions to completion. Improve key performance metrics through process optimization, elimination of redundancies, and identification of new opportunities
  • Create and document the end-to-end service lifecycle for our charging assets, including site handover, commissioning, subcontractor warranty inspections, and equipment decommissioning
  • Serve as the keeper of a prioritized list of activities requiring support from other teams (e.g., Service Engineering, Project Engineering, or Product Management) to resolve systemic field issues
  • Clean and manage the backlog of invalid open actions, evaluating their relevance and processing them to maintain operational efficiency

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, operations, or a related field, with a strong focus on field service activities in a technical service environment
  • Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve program goals
  • Strong understanding of repair processes for complex technical hardware, including comprehensive safety protocols, field service activities, and escalation processes
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information and make data-driven decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders

    Expected Compensation
    $112,000 - $217,200/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
