This is not a
remote/hybrid position and will be based in a Turner office or project
location.

This
position will be posted for 90 days.

Position Description: Plan, forecast, lead, direct, and coordinate work of Self-Perform Operations (SPO) staff, subcontractors, and suppliers on Self-Perform Operations (SPO) concrete and general Trades projects. Oversee and confirm implementation of planned work for adherence to contracted scope for safety, schedule sequence, quality of work performed, and production planning and tracking. Supervise Trade labor in concrete or other areas of responsibility.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities:

  • Sequence work to meet project schedule and estimated productivity; communicate with Project Superintendent to incorporate Self- Perform Operations (SPO) activities, durations, and flow into project schedule.
  • Establish production requirements with Trades Foreperson and measure results weekly, oversee progress to promote coordinated project operations, and adjust work practices and crew assignments, to boost production where possible.
  • Monitor and report installed quantities and percentage of completion for SPO tasks and share findings at scheduled production meetings.
  • Monitor jobsite deliveries for approved materials at the time and quantities as defined in project schedule.
  • Assist General Superintendent and/or Trades Manager with hiring and termination decisions related to Trade labor.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with various labor sources to identify qualified labor to fulfill project staffing needs.
  • Plan, communicate, and implement performance of work related to scheduling, delivery, logistics, quality control, and SPO Trade staffing levels.
  • Resolve local area problems related to procedures, precedence, design clarifications, adequate labor, and equipment schedule.
  • Develop and implement SPO safety plan in compliance with company standards and safety codes and regulations.
  • Make available Job Hazard Analysis to Forepersons to enable quality daily pre-task planning.
  • Supervise and oversee work of Trade forepersons; provide constructive development feedback and contribute to complete performance appraisals.
  • Investigate, communicate, and resolve field issues with Owners, Owner's Representatives, Architects, and/or Engineers.
  • Manage monthly estimate of work completed, payrolls, material invoices, and subcontractor payment applications.
  • Manage installation of work in compliance with approved contract documents.
  • Monitor and confirm accuracy of take-off work and manage procurement of materials.
  • Assist with bidding work to review productivity and approach for implementing work.
  • Analyze drawings to identify specified components that may cause construction constraints to be resolved.
  • Utilize lean construction methods such as Last Planner System (LPS) for proactive scheduling.
  • Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.

The
salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety
of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience,
education, specialty, and training. The below salary range represents the
company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible
compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime
compensation. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.

The salary range for this position is estimated to be 110,000.00 - 170,000.00 USD annualized.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience performing as Superintendent managing work as a specialty contractor, with a focus on concrete scopes of work and experience managing larger SPO on vertical cores a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited degree program in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field of study a plus, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Construction industry experience; in-depth technical knowledge of systems and related tools and equipment required by this trade
  • Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, scheduling and cost control procedures, general contract understanding, general conditions, subcontract documents, drawings and specifications, and Trade practices
  • Knowledge of lean principles
  • Read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings specifications, scopes of work and project schedule
  • Proficient in MS Office and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) applications
  • Demonstrate leadership and interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Experience in drilled piers, grade beams,
    flatworks / slabs, and vertical cores (5-6 stories)
