D.A. Blodgett- St. John's provides a continuum of care with comprehensive services, including counseling, foster care, adoption, mentoring and residential care. These programs are built on our core belief, backed by research, that as long as children can be safe, they do best when they are with their families. D.A. Blodgett- St. John's primarily serves children, youth and families in the greater Grand Rapids area, and some programming throughout the State of Michigan. D.A. About Therapist Opportunities:

There are multiple opportunities at D.A. Blodgett- St. John's to work with clients under the age of 18 either in an individual, family or group setting for the purpose of helping them to understand and manage a wide range of developmental and behavioral issues. Some positions offer support within the Kent School Services Network (KSSN) to increase support for students, families and schools along with increasing access to health, mental health and community resources to increase parent/community engagement and involvement, to promote opportunities that supports student's educational, social and emotional development. Some positions provide intensive targeted and coordinated planning, linking, training and advocacy support for youth ages from 0-18 and foster families to preserve placement. Would you like to help us accomplish our mission as a Therapist?

Our ideal candidates will have either a bachelor's degree or Master's degree in a Human Services related field. Some candidates must be licensed to practice mental health therapy in the state of Michigan. If temporary or limited licensed, must be completing steps towards full license. Must possess a strong knowledge of child development and be trauma informed. Knowledge related to foster and adopted children and families is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license.
