Security Officer - Media Studio Patrol

As a Security Officer - Media Studio Patrol in Petersburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and telecommunications location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe and report unusual activity, and communicate clearly with onsite teams and visitors while delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech office, campus and/or operations location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, contacting site leadership and/or emergency services, and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including building entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and verify visitor and contractor authorization, assist with badge and credential checks, and help maintain controlled entry consistent with site procedures.
• Complete daily activity reports, incident reports and patrol documentation; communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal supervision and/or client contacts per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
